Wow didn't know that. That definitely changes things dramatically
Once those chips become readily available the price should stick at 599; It's just a matter of waiting out the "want factor" :-)
Nice score Nick :-)
FYI, Steam has 3DMark is on sale for 4.49 at till January 2nd. If you haven't purchased the product but want it, now's the time to get it. Buy 3DMark (Sale ends Jan 2, 2020)
No! all my Firestrike scores came through the Steam version, including my latest posting in post #1260
That said, if using the Steam version make sure auto updates are turned on.
Any type of stability issue - RAM, GPU, CPU, will affect benchmarks. Remember benchmarks tend to stress the system - how much depends on the benchmark itself.
Anyway as you say the system has...
Be aware Nick was also having BSOD's from memory issues so.... BSOD when XMP Is Enabled. The post hasn't been marked solved so who knows.
Anyway, messing around with some slight overclocks - auto...
That's nothing new. Newly released AMD (and NVidia) drivers tend to make 3DMark bark. Nothing new. I've had this a few times myself.
Thanks.
If you read my RVII thread (I know it's an AMD card but...) you'd see getting there requires ear muffs :o
New drivers, an overclock of both CPU and GPU and this Fire Strike score...

I paid for the Steam version. See no need to pay for the stand alone version as well.
Anyway the program appears to not like my overclocks on my Skylake system, even though they're modest...
Don't know what the issue is here but for some odd reason Fire Strike keeps crashing on me. Issue seemed to have started with the Anniversary update. Basically within the first minute of...
Solved!
Verify Integrity of application cache fixed it. All is good now.
Thanks.
Hey Steve, glad to see you're still around.
Yeah, I just saw the update. I'll give 3DMark another try and see what goes.
As for hanging around it'll never be like it used to, but I'm am...
Well it was working fine prior to the update. BTW this is the Steam version.
Anyway I'll give the above steps a look see and see what happens.
Anybody get Fire Strike or Time Spy working after anniversary update to Windows 10?
I did the update yesterday and now both Fire Strike and Time Spy crash. Specifically, Fire Strike crashes about...
Messing around with my system yesterday I discovered my RAM wasn't being run at it's optimized state with XMP enabled - was running at 1600Mhz instead of 1866Mhz. Not sure what's going on there...
Well the card didn't even last 24 hours before it started acting up. Oddly enough though since those last two incidents I've not had another artifact yet. Kind of wish it would so I could take a...
Anybody know why 3DMark suddenly decided that my card isn't recognized....

despite the fact that I ran tests yesterday and all was good. See post #25, and the fact that the card's details...
Dude, change the card name to R9 Fury. I don't have the Fury X, which is the higher performance card. Wish I did, though not at its asking price.
Thanks :)
Well today I received my Sapphire R9 Fury. Was kind if interested in it, but wound up getting one anyway because one of the fans on my Sapphire Vapor X R9 280X OC is going bad, and the card was...
