Ran Update.
There were 2 items in the update list - a defender anti-virus item, and kb5034441.
The KB sat there showing install 0% like it always has before. For a noticeable time, and I thought...
I read - it must be empty.
But it's not - screenshot replace 5, which is the same as one I previously posted - replace 1, but the time stamp has changed
And the recovery partition we created last...
You do keep editing the response after I have started to action it . . .
cmd, reagentc /disable - success
exit cmd
I ran 7z as admin per your suggestion, that worked.
Opened the iso folder to...
As i said, i did that: what I should have said was ran disable, did the extract copy, ran enable.
And you have to exit cmd to run 7z.
And I have not been able to find a way to run 7z as...
I did that - disable, then enable.
I'll repeat the extraction and ignore the copy warning . . .
updated

- Ran the scan, no integrity violations reported.
- opened the iso file made by the creation tool (which was win 10 22h2) with 7z and followed the path to reagent.xml and winre.wim, selected...
Hi pentagon,
I'm back, have read post #130, and the link therein, and have a few queries on that post:

Kb5034441 broke again, and then error message looks to be the same as before we started this effort; screenshot 28

I was out for 10 mins, evening pee break for the dog.
The last 2 cmd lines ran successfully, screenshot 27
system re-booted as advised.

The enable operation reported success.
The osloader operation was long enough to push that result off-screen. That result is in screenshot 25.

Done. You missed a drive letter at the start of the 2nd xcopy, which I thought might be shorthand, but it didn't work. So I re-did it with the C drive letter included, and that worked.

Done, screenshot 21
Yes! drive letter R assigned.
The 2nd part of post 92 executed - screenshot 19.
Contents of R: per Treesize free (screenshot 20).
Now that the recovery volume seems to be "available', how do I...

I got the same result. It's saying there is no volume specified. Does that mean:
- a partition name should be stated?
- could it be a conflict with the unlettered EFI partition on the same disk?...
We got past the disk/par items, and it broke on the assign command, screenshot 17. I keep trying to show the cmd screen against your instruction, but it gets displayed wrong on the thread, sorry...
The screenshot was of post #98 background, but the script as advised..
Tried again, got the same result. re-booted, tried again, same result.
Mystifying, because that detail previously worked, see...
The script broke at sel par 4, see screenshot
