Hi Craig, long time buddy. Yes, it does all Chrome could do so now it's my primary browser. Just kicked Chrome off the taskbar.
Just installed it to give it a try. Looks pretty good so far. I just need to figure how to add Adblock Plus and I'll really like it.
Edit: Found it in the Store...now I'm a happy camper.
No didn't keep those, but if that filename was misspelled then I see why it errored with not being able to find it.
Don't really know why, but I just had a hunch to try the 8.1 iso that I still had access to. It was already on an old usb stick I had from the last time I ran 8.1. Before I installed it I checked...
I'd like to thank everyone for your help and suggestions. I found my solution. I was able to install 8.1 on one of my computers and then upgrade to 10. All is well now.
The big problem is that every iso file i download and burn to usb or dvd as soon as i boot it comes comes up with the error 0x8007000D cannot find file needed for installation.
Don't have anyone close using windows, and they require windows to download the tool.

Clonezilla user here.
Same here. Prettiest weather app I have ever seen:-)
The transition is instantaneous here too, don't see any flash of white.
Oh, and additionally things I thought would be toast are still there, such as Classic Shell menu.
Being a quietly retired guy with nothing better to do, I did a fresh install of the 1803 version to see how an upgrade to 1809 would go. I used the MCT to upgrade, and after a thrilling 2 hour...
Just showed up on iso downloads page..I'm going to do a fresh install just to make sure I have the latest, fixed, version of 1809.
Crosses fingers that Tuesday update doesn't hose already working 1809 upgrade.
+1 to that
Works here as well, using the first upgrade to 1809. I suppose I'm just lucky enough to have ideal hardware for it.
Ditto here
I've done all my personal data backups on external drives here at home for a few years now. Like someone above said "the cloud is just your data on someone else's computer".
Classic Shell also continues to work well for me on 1809 after the upgrade.
Just completed the upgrade to 1809. Used the MCT and the in-place upgrade option. Took about 1-1/2 hours to complete. Classic Shell still there, and now I finally have my dark themed File...
I may have missed this point being brought up, but I don't think so. There are hundreds of millions of Windows users on this planet, and only several thousand MS employees. How in the world would...
Yes, thanks.
