That's funny!
I'm going to give it a whirl... will report back.
Nice rig! Encouraging to hear about your successful installs...
Oh well, too bad for me. I easily exceed all the other requirements. If they don't end up including 7th Gen Intel, this rig will be Win10 to the bitter end.
The new PC Health app tells me no-go - CPU is not supported. My CPU is a Core i5 7400. But it has 4 cores and is 3.5 GHz. It is outrageously stupid to disqualify my computer based on this.
The 'PC Health' app that purports to indicate whether your PC is qualified for Win11 is buggy and broken! So don't worry about it. Yet.
Ah yes, I sort of knew that. Just a bit of acronym overload :-) Anyway, legacy mode is off. In fact, my BIOS won't allow it to be on if Secure Boot is on. I'm just not going to worry about it. I had...
Because the app that checks for compatibility with Win11 is buggy.
What is CSM? I see no mention of it in any of my BIOS settings...
I hope so too. I went into my BIOS setup and TPM and Secure Boot are enabled, TPM is 2.0. This is nuts.
tpm.msc shows my computer as having tpm 2.0 and states that "TPM is ready for use". My computer easily fulfills/exceeds the other stated Win11 specs, and yet the PC Health app says it won't be able...
The 'PC Health' thingy said that my computer can't run Win11 - it's only 2 years old FFS! I am not buying a new computer for Win11.
They never said that Win10 was the last version of Windows...
Uh oh, technical difficulties. Was going nicely there for a while.
I read the article, and took it as an intentional joke.
Me too, Kari. It came installed on an HP that I bought in 2008, and it had all the relevant drivers and plenty of resources to work with. I slapped an nvidia card in there, and Aero Glass was...
I don't know larc, if that's the biggest deal. I have heard there may be some NEW EMOJIS!!! OMG!!! I am so excited!!!
The day that Windows becomes a monthly subscription is the day that I say good-bye to Windows. I am fortunate that I don't really need it. Indeed, I use Linux 99% of the time. As long as it was 100%...
