    It won't let me save the system image to a usb drive. It says it's not a valid backup location. I had to save the image to an external drive.

    boot from USB (recovery drive or install media) to Advanced Startup.
    After I install internal SSD, do I hit escape until the options show up for the boot sequence or whatever?

    I already did a system image because it backs up everything. Are you saying I need to do something different? I tried saving image to usb drive and it said USB drive was not a valid backup location.
