It won't let me save the system image to a usb drive. It says it's not a valid backup location. I had to save the image to an external drive.

What's this part?
boot from USB (recovery drive or install media) to Advanced Startup.
After I install internal SSD, do I hit escape until the options show up for the boot sequence or whatever?

I just used the system image that was on my system, no 3rd party stuff. I checked and have no bad boot sectors.
