My wife uses this app a lot and she came to me with this error 38, from my resource I need to restart the Protexis Licensing service under the services app. Ido not have that and seems to be gone....
okay thank you for your help, my old PC won't boot from that but I should be able to use the PCIe slot for extra storage.
yes you are correct, I have 3 one is the primary drive and the other is the optical drive. I only have one power connector right now so I will have to get a Y splitter for that.
okay thanks guys i'm going to order a small Samsung evo 860 just and use my old 1tb hdd for picture storage. If I get a cheap deal on a Q9650 I might buy just to say that I have replaced a CPU.

Yeah I basically just want to hook up 2 monitors for my wife and figured for 25 bucks it was worth the risk if it doesn't work.
lol, I don't know what I will do. I have not been into PC's for a bit and last week my PCU took a crap and I replaced it and now I have an urge to upgrade it a bit. I know its and old system but its...
that is a pretty cheap machine, I will check it out thanks.
I got a new one sealed off ebay, the card I linked on Newegg is the same card and shows my PC as supported.
I just got a good deal on a GPU for my old OptiPlex 960 sff and on Newegg it says it will work here is the link
DELL OPTIPLEX 740 745 750 755 760 780 790 960 980 990 SFF DT Video Graphics Card -...
I think another option would be to switch the CPU I have from a Q9550 to the Q9650, my system does support it and I have the correct fan and heatsink to support it. I can get the Q9650 for pretty...
yeah I hate to give up on her its been a good machine.
I'm running windows 10 64bit pro version on my dell OptiPlex 960 SFF and have no issues in the last 2 years.
I bought it as a refurb PC and it came the intel core 2 quad q9550 so I think that is the highest I can go with the 235w PSU that came in the SFF PC's. But she's been a good pc so I think a little...
thank you guys for your input.
I can get ddr2 ram for pretty cheap so I probably will go both 2.5 ssd and more ram. what software do you recommend to clone the os for a bootable drive these days?
Im thinking I could install a SSD and a bit more ram and I could probably get a few more years out of this old girl before retirement. I have 8GB of ram and it running windows 10 pro 64bit edition....
So I probably would be safe to just use a 2.5 ssd as a bootable drive instead? It would have been nice to utilize the PCIx slot and keep my old 1TB hhd on the sata drive cable as a storage device...
Would it be possible to make a NVMe ssd through the PCIe slot on a dell OptiPlex 960 sff? I have the slot but don't know if the the bios would support a boot drive of that nature. Or should I just...
