Okay, great! Thanks for the reply! :D
I do have 4 sticks, is it still okay? Is it 1600 mhz per channel?
It's the GA-970A-DS3P. I recieved the new RAM and put it in and didn't touch the BIOS this time. It works great. Task manager reports it as "800 megahertz". 4x8GB sticks.
I recently installed 16GB DDR3 RAM (2x8GB) and it's 1866 megahertz speed. In my Gigabyte AMD motherboard BIOS, I selected an 1866 RAM "Profile". It usually is 1600, which was the speed of the old...
Great! It's for my main PC (which also has an authentic Windows 7 Pro key) in case I need to re-install, but with the current update(s). My old disc has an outdated version.
Thanks! :D
Okay thanks! :)
I downloaded the 1903 ISO. So my question is, if I ever need to re-install, and use my Windows 7 64 bit Pro key (which I know works), will this automatically give me Windows 10 64 bit Pro? Or do I...
I had issues with 1903 as well. It basically made my SSD based PC "loop" while booting. I'd see the blue Windows logo for a second, then it would reboot, and then again, over and over. It was a...
Thanks for everyone's replies! I successfully upgraded to Windows 10 Home and am leaving it at that. :)
Okay great, thanks. And since 7 was just cleanly restored, I shouldn't be inheriting any issues.
Windows 7 was just restored, so nothing will be lost if I do a clean install. Agreed?
Thanks! I just downloaded the newest ISO. So this will work (or USB)?
I have a Windows 10 64 bit Pro bootable DVD. I just bought a used older Sony Viao laptop with Windows 7 64 bit Home Premium. It came with an authentic Windows 7 key. Can I use this to do a fresh...
He just says according to my msinfo it's set to "manual" and this messes up World of Warcraft. lol
I play World of Warcraft and it keeps producing errors upon installation and gameplay. I've tried everything tech support has thrown at me except changing "secondary logon" from manual to automatic....
I don't know. My system was fully restored and everything works 100%. The file is this: "BitDefender Threat Scanner.dmp" and is in c:\windows\temp and whenever I reboot, right before it shuts down,...
meh, I'm tired of fooling with it. Must be a Windows 10 qwirk. lol
I have no idea. There is no trace of it anywhere on my computer except some obscure log file created during reboot because Bitdefender encountered an "error". lol
It's good? How much does it cost?
That could be it. The "parent" program might have been uninstalled. Oh well, I'm not going to waste any more time on it I suppose lol
But won't it NOT be detected if it's just a normal program? I Googled Bitdefender and it's just an AV. The question is, why is it on my PC. It doesn't seem to be doing any harm and I've now run at...
Yes, that's what I did. Bitdefender isn't malware apparently, but a legit AV which may be why it's not detecting it. But I simply can't find it anywhere, and I've run extensive file/setting...
:D I ran both as you suggested. Malwarebytes found about 200 items, but the other found nothing. When I rebooted after the Malwarebyte scan, I still saw the message, but the system rebooted anyway....
Okay thanks! I did catch a nasty virus just after installing Windows 10 (I used system restore and it fixed it). Could there still be some remnants left over? Anyway, I'll check out those two...
Every time I reboot my machine, I get some message about a Bitdefender log file in C:\windows\temp. First of all, I don't recall ever installing Bitdefender, and two, I can't find any mention of it...
