OMG, how true! Seems I have finally run into somebody who goes by the same principles.. quick launch is a wonderful thing along with small taskbar items, no grouping etc.. I also use a Win 98 style...
Okay, it seems I've found something, finally. I bumped into it quite randomly after seeing a recent Windows Update package KB4034674 in the Programs and Features uninstall list. I looked into it on...
I always have high performance mode on.
Hello,
recently my system has developed a weird issue. Right-clicking on the taskbar on any open applications that I have stops working quite often (the black task menu to minimize/close etc...
Doing a normal restart today initiated the stupid update again and installed the cumulative update (KB4019472).
My Win 10 is Build 14393.1198 and the latest LogonController patch v6 does not...
Thanks, dobbelina, for the latest update! :) Everything works as it should again!
My laptop did a stupid update today, completely annoying as always. As before, I tried deleting the .bak file and then running the LogonController patch as administrator, but it could not finish it's...
Thank you! :) Works as expected and without problems.
My startup was fine. On the build I mentioned, those tutorials didn't work anymore when locking a session. I tried both. Since it didn't work, I went back to previous build using System Restore.
Hello again,
just a little newsflash. After everything was working fine, I proceeded with the normal Windows Update procedures when it wanted to go to build 14393.187 or whatever the newest is....
With a little hesitation I went through with it anyway and can now gladly say it works ok :) Thank you so much for making and sharing! I'm on Win 10 Pro x64 build 14393.105
I didn't yet.. and I'm a bit afraid to try dangerous things that can taff up my PC.
So as it stands now, the most we can do is disable it for locking the computer, signing out and resuming from sleep? Just wondering if there's been an update to get rid of it for good, but seems to...
I wholeheartedly agree.
Hi and thanks for bringing this in and sharing!
I didn't test it out myself yet, but I was left wondering about some things.. when this is working and you do a fresh cold boot, you will still get...
I've got build 14393.10 and I don't know of a solution that would work for me to disable the lock screen.. when I go to settings and try to change the picture, everything is grayed out with the text...
Yes temporary option was there. If I do it, I want to make it permanent, or for as long as I can. Right now, I'm okay though.
Ok thanks everybody for still keeping faith in this thread. Where and how can I find out what the next retail/regular build is? Right now when I press on "opt out forever" it takes me to that guide...
ok thanks for the info. Although if there was an official way to go for Education /Enterprise, I'll be willing to pay..
Yes I'm aware, and I think I'm gonna have to use this as a resort. But still I'd like to be able to use winkey + L sometimes.. :(
Is there a workaround for this? I've got Win 10 Pro x64 build 14366. Can I upgrade to Enterprise or, Education somehow? Please, any help welcome.
Ok I somehow managed to install build 14366. Wow. Now if I could just disable that lock screen, it'd be a long way.. WinAero Tweaker doesn't work.
They say that from build 14271 disabling the lock...
My GUI is actually pretty simple. I use the old style taskbar with no pinned applications. I use the quick launch. These are both things I can do inside Windows itself without 3rd party stuff. Then I...
It downloads the latest build 14388, then configures the updates and restarts.. after I see the "working on updates 0%" screen, it restarts again and reverts to previous build.. :(
I tried that.. well not with this exact build, but from a newer one anyway. Got the iso and started install, then got the error message: "You can't keep Windows settings, personal files and apps...
