As I said, there is a folder on the laptop that I want to access from the desktop machine, but I cannot even see the laptop from the desktop machine, let alone see the mapped...

And further, the laptop is running version 1803, the desktop is running 1809.

One is a laptop running Windows 10 Home, on WIFI; this is the machine with the directory I wish to share to the other machine.
The other is a desktop running Windows 10 Pro, on ethernet.

Maybe I spoke too soon. Just went to Network again, can't even see the other machine. What could have happened?

Thanks so much for this tutorial. I have been searching for hours, and none of the other documents included all of the items that yours did. Which is why yours worked, and the others didn't.:-)
