Thanks, Bree. That's what I was looking for. :-)
I had a problem with a new motherboard and had to return it for a replacement (same brand and model). I usually disable TMP in the BIOS to keep Windows 11 at bay. Unfortunately, the Trusted...
I have 2 desktops in Windows 11 Insider, one Beta and one Release Preview. When – and if – I start to like 11, I'll move my 2 main PCs and laptop to it. But not one second before. Such blabbering...
Everything is pointing more toward DAC disagreement with Realtek USB audio. Both DACs work perfectly with all optical outputs I've tried them on except ASUS ROG Strix Z690-E and Z590-E motherboards....
Thanks, Quexos. Unfortunately, it's a matter of constant cutouts. I already fought the battle of a delay at the beginning that was happily solved by SoundKeeper. I'm thinking now this problem may...
Situation: Digital audio cutting out for about a quarter second at several seconds to several minutes intervals. There's no problem with an analog connection from the 3.5mm stereo speaker out port...
With any luck, MS should get this corrected by summer. ;)
Don't think that's the difference, at least not with mine. Image Guardian is enabled on all of them. 3 are running 10 Pro (1 needed a reboot) and 2 are running 11 Pro (also 1 reboot required). All...
Installed on all 5 of mine with no problems, but 2 required a reboot. Never understood why some need a reboot for major Macrium updates and some don't.
I had deleted the Recovery Partition on 3 computers since I could rely on install media for recovery functions, but got tired of seeing the error message on WU. So I re-created a Recovery Partition...
Is this update really necessary? I always delete the Recovery Partition and add the space to C: since I can do everything with install media that Recovery can do.
Success!!! This is exactly what I've been looking for and hadn't been able to find. Thanks so much, Cliff. And thanks to everybody who offered suggestions.
Thanks, bro67. External DAC is Schiit Modi 3 (it works perfectly processing CD signals into a stereo system). Also, internal DAC in Denon AVR-S650H receiver and Sony STR-DH590 receiver. Results...
Thanks, pepanee. Switching to the Microsoft USB audio driver (the Microsoft HD driver neosmart recommended won't work with USB audio) is one of the first things I tried. Unfortunately, the same...
Pluginz, I find High Definition Audio Controller on IRQ 16 & IRQ 17. No IRQ 18 listed. Status on both is OK.
Thanks, sandyt.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding something here, but that sounds as if the USB audio connection is confined to the motherboard. If that's the case, maybe I need to be looking at USB...
Thanks, Plugins.
Motherboard S/PDIF out via optical cable into DAC. RCA cables from DAC to 5+1 receiver.
When I run audio from the motherboard S/PDIF connector into my DAC, there is a delay of several seconds before sound starts. When I start playing a sound source, I miss the first part. The problem...
I haven't used WordPad in years, so won't miss it. LibreOffice Writer (free) easily does anything WordPad can do.
Thanks, Bree. I'm finding it under "Alternative Locations" rather than "Advanced Options." I had tried that earlier, but it didn't want to work for me for some reason. At any rate, all is OK now...
Thanks for the help. I finally found a way to do what I wanted to do. Open Macrium Reflect > click on "Existing Backups" > click on "Edit." Remove anything not wanted from the destination list. ...
Did a clone of my system drive (250GB Samsung 970 EVO Plus to 1TB Samsung 980 Pro), keeping the drive the same size. Used a reliable USB 3.0 M.2 caddie for the new NVMe. Cloning went smoothly, but...
Thanks, dalchina. Guess there's no way of continuing to do backups the way I do and change the default destination.
Thanks for the getback. Sorry, I should have said what I do. These are always full backups, not incremental or differential. I just open Reflect, click on C: drive and select "Image this disk..." ...
