What has me befuddled, the TM only shows one instance running. If close it another appears on the list then another, another .... . If I move over the icon in the taskbar the popup window shows...

When my sister in law opens Thrunderbird on her laptop it loads and starts about twenty instances of it. Its the only program that does it. I've checked everything I think off short of reinstalling...

Never mind. Yesterday I deleted them all from the Homegroup then changed the Workgroup name from "Workgroup" to "Workgroup01". For whatever reason its back to normal, each box can see the others and...

Both my weather and news apps started doing the same thing with the same error. They open then crash.

Same problem with two Dell D630 floptops ,"One or more protocols missing". After following these instructions and rebooting my router both connect wired or wireless.
How to FIX One or more...

Update: After replacing what turned out to be a failing HD the '586 install went without issue on another old floptop (D630 1.8) using the DVD I used to update the 580 DT.

OK, one more question. I have one floptop still running Win7 Ultimate. Can I install the Win 10 10586 version or do I need to load the 10240 first then go to 10586?

Worked like a champ sim. I made a new image of the running disc, used it to clone and upgraded the backup disc. I going to beat it up for a few days then I'll redo the original disc.
