I never did manage to fix the sound. I've just formatted my C drive which the mail app is installed on. It still doesn't work.

OK, just tried to update it, and says it failed yet again. Will try this.

Looks like some of these updates fail. They were always failing in windows 7, main reason I switched to W10. But at least I had sound with my mail.225682

Yes, found the gear icon in mail app! However, mail sounds are already checked and applied to all accounts.

Got them all ungreyed now. Makes no difference though, still no mail sound. Unless I have to restart my PC?

Hi, I have W10 installed on a PC and have the default mail app. How do I switch the mail notification sounds on? They were on before, but the notification must have switched itself off.
