Yes, I noticed the same dark theme change in Search Box too, but actually don't mind a bit less screen real-estate dedicated to the retina-blasting bright-white version! ;)

Thanks heaps.. I'll dig in & check it out! :)
I did update Firefox to the latest last week, but disliked the 'Chromized' UI so much, I wound back to V 88.0.1 on two machines.
Since then I notice that loading 'Google News' takes forever, with...
Quick & painless.. only thing I notice is that all on-board Restore Points appear to have been wiped/lost?
Ran cleanup via: 'Dism.exe /online /Cleanup-Image /StartComponentCleanup /ResetBase'

Mum Knows Best..
So, "Thank you!" for your appreciation!
:D
@ 'Kado' - Thanks!
So drivers are now scanned & Auto-updated - or only when we 'request' it please?
Updated successfully mid-August, but only just noticed what appears to be a 'change' in driver updating via Device Manager?
For as long as I can remember, the options were essentially:

'I am guilty too' - (in very good Welsh)!
;)
Yep.. been quietly LMAO for a few days on that one now too! ;)
Thanks for the reminder.
I too became tired of continuously chasing 'updates' and reverted to good old 8648 (HDA) today.
Glad I did! :)
Interesting.. but of course IBM claim that their super computer 'Summit', did the (same) calculation in 2.5 days - rather than 10,000 years!
Quantum computing: Google says computer completes...
And that also then 'coincidentally' renders LibreOffice inoperable?
Sounds like some wires may have got crossed here!

Yes! That was my point really.. but I can also see that a few million less requests for assistance with software other than their own, could possibly be seen to reduce the severity of M$'s present...
Sure.. just as we have the right not to use M$ at all.. but WHY do they do this.. I find it hard to believe that it is purely out of concern for the Registry Health of their loyal & beloved users?

Not sure what M$'s gripe with CCleaner actually is?
I use it daily (but Firewall blocked), despite Aavast ownership - and have not yet suffered any adverse effects in Win 10.
Could it be that...
Likewise, or possibly once - to download a decent alternative browser! ;)
Er.. perhaps because 'not everyone' (and that's being polite), still uses Internet Explorer - upon which this update appears to be primarily focussed?
;)
I had similar sounding issues - and similar sounding attempts to fix etc - and then ran DSIM Scan/Restore Health on .356 which corrected the issue(s).
Then set my 'usual' reg tweaks & Shutup10 etc...
Win 10 'Home' user says: "Nicely Put!"

Spot on!
Yes, even as the Captain(s) insist upon hurtling at full speed toward the next Iceberg, in a corporate race to the bottom!
Next: 'Machine Learning'? Perhaps a complete non-sequita in...
Indeed.. and once upon a time, long long ago, 'Bing' didn't even exist!
Lest we forget; "Information is Power".
Perhaps the digital spaghetti that is MS/Win 10 'under the hood', is now becoming...
Hmm, strange as it was (or appeared to be) the Cortana cache 'fix' that finally cooled my CPU down with this Update!
...or is the registry tweak posted here and that I *may have used for shutting...
Well, I have not used Edge, Cortana or Bing - and in fact did everything I could to 'nuke' them - since day 1 on this machine (about 3 years now I think).. BUT, still experienced the high CPU rates &...
