If you only use it for surfing net etc.. grab your self an ssd drive youl see a big boost on start up and browsing can get them preety cheap.now

Try a clean install and dont install anything see if its using alot if not install 1 thing and see if that eats the ram and so on.. if then you prob find what it is.
