Wished that was the case here. Update became available but I didn't install. Since 1809, MS and my pc have trust issues, so I ran Update Assistant and everything said OK ( Why did I even trust the...
Yes it is the old Edge. I installed the new beta Chrome based version while searching for a solution. Its looking good, but still doesn't fit the bill. Just thought i'd ask here being there is...
G'day all..
Have been a Firefox stalwart for many years, but for no reason just decided to give Edge a crack and found it to be quite responsive, but it lacks the ability to add an extra row on the...
I have the known issue of system not realizing it has already updated and still requires restarting252608
Yep......and the people have voted the fools who altered the original design back in for another term.
Let me guess....Telstra ?
All good here with Firefox mate.
Between the industry corporate knobs and their bean counters, they decided for you that it's no longer needed because :
1) It is outdated ( arguable ) and the media that it uses easily damaged...

Like you, I bought an external unit years ago, for the purpose of transferring what was important onto the nas box. It now sits in the drawer and hasn't been used for god...
Absolutely !!
If I was on a budget and/or not in workforce, I sure wouldn't have either the nas or an external ssd.
Agree with you on the OEMs trying to save $$ by not installing them, yet my...

Point, click and crash.
Tried not to laugh with your response, but I reckon you're right.
Let's face it, they aren't going to capture everything, but after the 1809 data loss saga, basic installation issues that people...
Had I not upgraded my laptop tonight, I would think nothing of it, as its perfectly replicated the same issue across 3 systems.
There's a commonality to the error, but what ?
What i'm saying is...yes....i forgot to add that in the said process and it made no difference.
Sorry to pop your balloon:(
Forgot to add that bit....yes
Yesterday, I didn't have usb or cards of any sort inserted from beginning on 3 systems and it still happened.
Whether by the assistant or via update, it still wouldn't work. Tried making iso via...
Yet my installs failed on all 3 machines as a locally mounted iso. Only worked when network was disconnected
All 3 of my machines would not update and bring up driver/service fault no matter which way I tried to install......until their network connections were disabled. At least the fault is consistent.
Enable Windows Sandbox Feature in Windows 10 Home Edition
I tested it on the weekend and it worked using the above method
