Yesterday a new update came through (18.0.2.486). I re-activated Active Care. So far, no crashes.

Really irritating. If they don't fix it in the next update, I'm going to uninstall and find something else. I find it really frustrating that they don't even acknowledge my emails. Not even a stupid...

I've been having the exact same issue. Sent an email to iolo support: no response. I tried uninstalling/shutting down/re-installing, but the problem remains.
