Follow up.
Since the last post I have returned the mobo because of its BIOS issue with W10 scan for hardware changes problem. Definitely a problem there. And BIOS wasn't listing the M2 drive...
OK, this problem is going to have to wait until I get this system hang on 'scan for hardware changes' issue sorted first.
This happens if I do it in Device Manager as well as the setup process.

Yep, silly me. I didn't scroll down enough to see those last three tests. Since included them and that caused a series of BSOD on restarts. Have now finally got some crash dumps!

I thought all but two items were checked, but the last three aren't here.
No crashes yet.....

Ah OK, I think I was using instructions from elsewhere on this forum. I check all the other boxes except those two and see what happens.
No worries. Thanks for all your time.

I was just enabling everything in Device Manager and ran the Scan system for hardware changes while the Bluetooth was enabling and that caused a kb/mouse freeze requiring a reset restart.

Tested all non MS drivers, which was pretty much just Logitech and ATI. Tested the three items as per instructions. Should some other points be included too?
Curious as to why the dump file...
Hmmm. Crash testing it doesn't cause a BSOD. It just kills the mouse and keyboard and I have to hit the reset button to restart it. And therefore it isn't creating any dump files.

Yes, it reports that dumps are enabled but there are none.
Sorry that is not being very helpful. Am I missing something?
OK, Verifier is running fine. Doesn't even slow things down much at all.
However, because nothing is causing a BSOD we're not learning anything from it yet.
Meanwhile, I do have another issue...
Yep. It'll be interesting to see what it comes up with. May take me a little while between other work at the moment.
OK, done a backup, created system image and created restore point. Made note on using Verifier so I think I'm good to go.
This file was missing from that directory. There is a couple of instances of it buried in the FileRepository though.
No. Fortunately I have an unlimited data plan, albeit not very fast.
However, could it have been because I had configured startup with minimal services which might mean networking was all...
OK, I think I've got all you asked for. (There was a couple of files that were empty so I haven't included them.)
Dropbox - Panther zip.zip
Hope that works! The zipped folder is about 36MB.
1) and 2) done.
4) is the one and the same that is on my USB stick now. To to the in place upgrade as I am trying to do, you simply run the setup file from within windows. If you wanted to do a full...

The USB stick has 3.8GB on it, which would be about right for the full package created by MCT.
And yes, I am cognisant that doing a full clean install may be less time consuming, but man, that is...
19-20) Running this didn't take long at all.

5) I haven't bothered with any overclocking for years now. Certainly not on this rig.
I'm not a gamer nor expect absolute top performance. I tend to choose mid-range gear, have it run clean and...
I ran it before attempting the upgrade. Just trying not to overload you with superfluous data.
