I will consider that in the future maybe, but for now I'll just wait and see with normal WU. I ran sfc /scannow to look for corrupted files, so now I'll have to wait a month to see if it was...

I will consider that in the future maybe, but for now I'll just wait and see with normal WU. I ran sfc /scannow to look for corrupted files, so now I'll have to wait a month to see if it was...
I have no idea what’s wrong, but for whatever reason my windows 10 monthly update is downloading at a vastly slower rate, typically in kB/s on two different devices. My net is not behaving slow at...
Oh, I'm not deliberately manually looking for updates, I know how skeevy they can be. I just check to see if Windows has any that are pending install/download waiting for me before I go to bed (from...
So, since May I've encountered a rather odd visual bug in my windows update settings page. I usually check it before shutting down in case of pending updates, and ocasionally, a .Net Framework update...
Hello everyone. I want to thank all of you for your help during this time, but it appears that the problem has uhh, fixed itself. Bit random, but I guess it just really felt like cleaning today....
If that's the case, then I'm not really going to mourn it much or put in the effort since I'm about ready to replace it anyways. I mean it's been hot garbage for its entire 3 1/2 year lifespan, so if...
I'll give it a try when I can, but the issue is is that my HDD is really, really shit, and more than likely it'll be clogged up by both the check and when the unwanted maintenance runs yet again.
...
I looked there and all it offered was when to start maintenance, not how often.
I looked there and it was all greyed out. I may have to run it as admin but it didn't mention days with the...
Problem is, I wouldn’t even know what action it’s actually listed under.
So it’s been roughly almost 2 weeks since I updated to 2004, and for some inexplicable reason the automatic maintenance has been running a simply abnormal number of times every time my laptop goes...
I might give it a try, but I’m not sure if it’ll help since it doesn’t do this every time. And I won’t be able to really check to see if it works until next update.
Also, I consider it the OS's...
Ever since I upgraded to 1903, there have been times where, for no readily explored reason, it takes hours, literal hours, to do an incredibly simple Cumulative Update due to DISK clog. And all I can...
Okay, thank you for the link as everything is running smoothly now after the driver edit, aside from the FU setup freaking hammering at my cpu. I swear M$ should be paying all the people who fix the...
I had to restart to finalize the installation of the RST driver (which is what the system is whining about). Should I restart again?
I'll add that this box has appeared before when it first tried...

For whatever reason the update fails to understand that I've UPDATED the freaking driver, and that it hangs up at 25% because it keeps throwing a tantrum over a non-issue.
I keep backups of my personal files before I do a big update, but thank you for your help. I got the driver done and am now preparing to finish the preliminary install of 1903.
Well then, wish me luck on this. God damn I hate having this hoop jumping when it comes to Feature Updates. I wish M$ would just leave the freaking OS a-god damn-lone!
Intel Core i7-7500U (7th gen).
I'm just following the recommendations of the websites a bunch of pages back to go with this specific driver. And I don't feel like dicking about with the driver assistant when I just need the one...
Could someone please answer the lumping question? It's past 11pm where I am and I wanna get this shitshow started so I can have the feature update run while I go to bed at a semi-reasonable time....
It's because I have to update mine to finalize the 1903 installation, and I 100% don't like diddling about with things I have no knowledge of. Don't fix what ain't broken as they say.
Hey, quick question here: If I want to update my Intel RST Drivers from this page here ( Download Intel(R) Rapid Storage Technology (Intel(R) RST) User Interface and Driver), and just the RST...
Huh, does the Feature Update diddle with drivers? If so that must be way my sound drivers got donked up during the 1803 update.
Isn't a very big part of that issue the fact that they just about erased their QA department in favour of user telemetry data? And that an actual, fully functioning QA department would have caught...
I suppose so? I honestly have no idea what it does beyond make it easier to share data between multiple partitions, I think.
