Yeah non-BSOD crashes. Motherboard and CPU tend to be 77C and 75C respectively during the GPU tests.
My power options are set to "High Performance." This is a common tweak frequently done for...
Well I got a crash even with the new power supply in during the GPU test. I left the panels off my case during a couple of the tests too to see if that made a difference with the temperatures since...
During some previous trouble shooting I had moved the GPU to a PCIe slot closer to the power supply. It was a little more crowded there so I moved it back up to the higher slot. I ran the GPU test...
Yes this was a non-BSOD crash like before.
Here's the log collector file from the newest version of the beta log collector.214025
Ok so I got a crash running the FurMark test. There were several hangs while it was happening. I couldn't tell if this was part of the test. But they were similar to what would precipitate a crash....
Here are the test results for CPU. Never saw it changes up or down from these numbers. I'll do the GPU test next. 213266
HWMonitor shows the same temps as Speccy. I have them both open right now.
I just did a short 3min test. It went up to 70C right away on the CPU but didn't budge from that. 75C on the motherboard. I turned it off and it dropped back down to under 40C in about 30secs.
I regularly clean out the inside of the case with air. The temps seem to be up and down a lot. I now see it as low as 35C. The motherboard temp seems more consistent at around 52C. Not sure what the...
Yeah normal fans are on. I never mess with anything like that. Front and back fans are on. Room temp is about 20C
No this is 68C. Though it seems to have come back down. Maybe it was doing something after I just turned it on. It seems to be around 50C now. Motherboard is at 58C.
It says to turn off Prime95 if high temperatures are seen. What is considered a high temperature? My CPU seems to idle at 68 which seems high according to some websites.

Hi zbook,
How do I post the data directly from the BIOS? I'm not sure where this is in Speccy.
Ok I downloaded Speccy. Anything in particular to look for?
I noticed already that in the Motherboard section it says my +5V is at 3.279V and my +12V is at 14.9V. Those seem significantly...
My phone is being stubborn about uploading pictures right now.
I have no software for temperature monitoring. I've never really done that stuff. Do you have something to recommend?
The BIOS is...
Well everything was fine until it wasn't. Seems more stable but still had a crash just now. The mouse cursor freezes up, everything is unresponsive and then after about 10secs the computer shuts off....
1) That's bizarre about the RAM. There are definitely 2 of each. 2 GXM and 2 GAB.
2) Back to 16GB of RAM.
3) There were 3 unknown devices under "Other Device." They were the Oculus Rift sensors...
Hey zbook thanks for replying again.
1) There are actually 2 modules that are different. They're the exact same specs other than the model number. I had to buy 2 different sets because of height...
Well I'm back. I removed the RME audio interface from my system and uninstalled the software, so fireface_64.sys should no longer be part of this equation.
After many weeks of fairly stable...
So to update this thread, I've been using the built-in Realtek soundcard (using the headphone output) for a week and have no stability issues. No crashes or BSODs or audio performance issues...
Okay so I've been talking with RME more. They wanted me to move my Firewire card to a different PCIe slot on my motherboard. I did that and I thought that fixed it. I didn't have a crash for about a...
Someone on the RME forum suggested using the legacy driver for my Firewire Syba PCIe card. I didn't realize that was an option.
I got a crash though so here's that info. Probably same as before....
Well I just got another crash. I clicked Next to go to the next video on youtube while one video was currently playing.
