Huh? I think you misread what i said..the drive is dead i don't have a replacement the other drives already exist.
The drive with the OS is fine (The C drive). That is on my SSD. I have not reinstalled windows or anything as nothing is wrong with that drive.
The drive that died was just a hard drive with...

The windows 10 is the same OS as ever I've never reinstalled it since i first got it as its never done anything wrong - that particular drive...
So i had software installed on a hard drive that died.

Okay, it is definately a 3.5" then. So something like this is what i need:
Anker USB 3.0 to SATA 3ft Converter Adapter Cable for 2.5 inch/3.5 inch Hard Drive Disk HDD and SSD, Power Adapter...
How do i know if my drive is 2.5" or 3.5" i presume measuring the outer case is not the right way to know the size internally of the disk?
Do you mean something like this: Inateck USB 3.0 to SATA III Hard Drive Adapter Cable: Amazon.co.uk: Electronics
Hmm i don't know a lot about hard drives, will a power output for 3.5" still work for a 2.5" ?
What options do i have to recover the data from it?
