Hi. You can select keep my files when initiating an in-place upgrade. It’ll just patch up the whole OS to fix the issue. Nothing to worry about losing important files.

I think it will be better to do in-place upgrade. If you don’t want to lose your files, just select the keep my files option once you started the process. Hopes this helps.

Try to create a new local account and see if it will work. If it is, then conflicting drivers or programs is the main reason. Then if it still not working try to powershell.

Try to rollback the drivers. They may not be compatible with the update.
