Hi, since yesterday I'm having a very strange problem with Realtek drivers, it just stop sending signal to my external device through digital output. I have a Gigabyte GA-AX370-Gaming 5 with the ALC...
Seems not. 8648 here too
Seems I am the only one who's still with 8648, everything later sounds less natural and balanced and more or less lounder, 8716 included, at least for my taste and setup. GA-AX370-Gaming 5 with ALC...
I'm using the ALC 1220 codec, with the GA-AX370-Gaming 5 as Mobo and Windows 10 x64 1903. Compared 8703, 8708, 8710, 8712 and 8714 vs. 8648. All the others sounds, with some minor differences,...
IMHO... 8648 still better, Windows 10 1903 here...
Yep...IMHO...
Comparing carefully now 8648 x 8700 just decided to keep 8648, but hadn't any bug with 8700, but I'm using Win 10 1809 and always make a reboot after driver instalation. Tomorrow they shall release a...
Anyone here tried the non WHQL 8700 posted in StationDrivers forum? I'm using the 8648 driver for a long time and, switching between restore points from those versions, seems to be a good driver. But...
Yep...
Now... how about we see how the different drivers performs with the different audio codecs in a test environment? Anyone in the mood and with hardware to do this? Think it's kind hard,...
Not here... but we should consider how subjective is this kind of analysis, it's not about graphic drivers measured with benchmarks, but we should consider the different setups, audio chips and...
8688 have a good balance of mid, mid-low and low, unlike the drivers that came after the famous 8648 and the terrible 8691, posted in StationDrivers forum, but there's a noticiable lack of highs....
:ditto:
8648 still offer the most balanced sound IMHO. A little bump of mid tones in 8678.
;)
Impossible to not agreed with that, Realtek is a cheap solution, but not necessarily a bad solution, we all music lovers do the best we could ($$$) to achieve "that" thing that make us love it so...
Seems like I'm the only one who still prefer 8648 over 8673. In my case, the clearly bump in low and highs brings some distortions, noticiable in cymbals, drums and bass details, lost a little stage...
Triple ditto... impressive! Finally, Realtek
Hi DaElderGod , I noticed quieter sound with win 10 64 1803 too, I have a Gibagyte x-370 Gaming 5 and, in the day after the lauch of 1803, Gibagyte lauch a new bios with "Improve Audio Compatibility"...
