This tutorial helped: Change folder view template for all folders in Windows 10
Thanks for the reply, but I only want FOLDERS I OPEN FOR THE FIRST TIME to be displayed in list view, but I do not want to disturb the view settings for the folders I already optimized, like pictures...
I've tried the "Apply to folders" button in the options menu, but it does not work, newly opened folders still open with "details" view... :/ Is there another way to make "list" view the default...
Well, okay, I have to admit this is more complicated. I use Japanese IME, which by default uses US - or some other strange - keyboard layout, so I have overridden its layout setting with the registry...
Well, it happens with every single app, including the start menu search! Oddly enough, in Edge when I type into the address bar, the layout is US English, but when I type something on a webpage, like...
Hi,
For some inexplicable reason my keyboard layout is different in windows 10 app than is in normal windonws 10 environment - even though on the taskbar it says it is the same... what could cause...

1. Search sucks. Had to rebuild indexing 2 times in just 3 days cause it stopped displaying results.
2. Start menu cannot be customized (like drag&drop shortcuts to all...
I admit I use Japanese keyboard input by default. It all went well, only that 5 minutes ago the "tablet side" of the Windows 10's schizophrenic mind started to speak japanese... the rest is still in...
The library entries just wont stay the way I leave them. I have just arranged my libraries and deleted the two mentioned folders, then they appeared againd and made a mess of my tasbar... :( This is...
Of course it is more stable. Had 6 years more to become so, and did not have the ambition of stuffing a tablet interface + mobile apps compatibility into your desktop pc. Window 7 was built...
The same for me. It took some time with regedit to purge them from appearing in "This PC" - but sometimes they even show up there. "Camera roll" and "saved pictures" also frequently reappear in my...
