Hi Jim, I have two SSD disks, one from the laptop and the other one is from myself, the Samsung 850 Evo 500GB.
I will start soon on a new project with the lenght of probably around 1 hour, using...
Hi Kari, I have never used Powerdirector before but it sounds interesting now for me. Are there any other editing programs that don't need much performance? Sony Vegas for example?
Hi Cliff, I'm not really into such things, so I have no real idea what you mean. Anyway, I should do it with my i5. The other model that I couldn't purchase because of my budget has the i7 7700HQ. Is...
Would more RAM improve the performance, or only the rendering? Well, the good thing is that the RAM is upgradable. What about the processor? Isn't that the most important thing if it comes down to...
I use Adobe Premiere most of the time.
Hello,
For my study I bought the HP Pavilion Power 15 laptop with the specs:
Intel Core i5 7300HQ (4 cores) 2,5 GHz (max. 3,5 GHz)
16 GB ram
756 gb SSD
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 2048 MB

What do you mean cereberus? Destroying my keyboard with gaming? I use a Xbox controller when I play games on a laptop or PC.
Thanks for your comment slicendice and Helmut.
I think I play average 30 min to 1 (max 2) hour a day on my laptop, definitely not like 4 to 8 hours in a row. I play only a few games on my laptop...
Hi,
I just got a new laptop, the HP Pavilion 15 Power (i5 7300HQ, GTX 1050, 8gb ram). Basically it is for my study but I know it can run games quite well.
Could gaming on my laptop do any...
Small update, I returned the MSI and bought a HP. FINALLY, a good display! I'm a happy man again. Thanks EdTittel and Kpat62 for trying to find a solution.
I never showed any examples of my problem. See the attached images. Those are black and white images, but on my screen they are black, white and light blue-ish.

I'm sure my laptop isn't about to die, it is a few days old! If I don't find a solution soon I will reach out to a ICT shop.
Yeah, I didn't expect such screen in a 950 dollar laptop.
According to the reviewer of this laptop (MSI GL62M 7RD-077 Notebook Review - NotebookCheck.net Reviews) it is possible to improve it with...
"The color profile that we have provided will improve the color precision. It can be installed by double clicking it."
I installed the profile and it didn't really fix it. My screen was too...
I don't think the "MSI True color Calibration for Photo editing" thread isn't a solution for me. The second one could be. I'm trying to find MSI True Color but I'm not sure if it is available for me...
It helps a little bit, but generally my screen keeps that blue tint just less blue-ish.
Hi guys, I'm back.
I brought the laptop to a PC shop and they told me that the motherboard was damaged. The best option was that I should buy a new laptop, which I did. I bought the MSI GL62M 7RDX...
Didn't work! ...still that annoying blue tint.
Okay, I tried an random ICC profile (couldn't find the exact profile for my laptop), it didn't fix the blue problem, it only changed some brightness/contrast...
I don't have the display panel when I look at > Control Panel – Appearance and Personalisation – Display. So I can't change/edit any profiles!
Hi Ed, unfortunately, it didn't work. Any other suggestions are welcome ofcourse. Maybe those ICC profiles? Although I have to say I have no idea how these profiles work.
Hi guys, the option "roll back driver" is not clickable in my screen...
They say my drivers are up to date if that matters. The sticker on my laptop says this is a X555L, but the X555LN looks alot like mine.
If there is no other way to fix this blue tint, I will try the ICC profiles, but I don't know how it work and which one I need. Anything would be better I guess because my eyes are burning because of...
