I've been trying to figure out the Memtest thing for a bit. I have created a USB boot file per the tutorial, but can't figure out what to do when I restart in BIOS mode - please walk me through that...

The latest BSOD occurred AFTER the uninstallation of the AV software.

Done this several times - the chkdsk seems to stop at 13% and then the computer boots normally - only takes 5 minutes for the entire process and the event does not appear in the log - the events are...

I am not sure the chkdsk scans were complete - they did not take long. Were run with the /x /f /r tags.
trouble was getting the scan to run at all because "the volume is in use by...
