When i open the windows 10 taskmanager and switch to performance tab and choose memory it does display the correct amount of ram (32 GB) but without the memory type eg that should be 32GB...

There is no file called install.wim in my Windows 10 iso file however there is a file called install.esd so what now ?.

It seems Dell has some agreement with mcafee they can offer that software free of charge for 1 year with every new Dell system purchased .Somebody should investigate why windows update stops working...

You're right as soon as i completely removed mcafee livesafe and rebooted the windows defender updates come back thank you

Ah so as soon as you run a windows update reset script and windows detects an internet connection it runs the update check that makes sense i'll try it with my laptop disconnected

Yes it did.

I have mcafee livesafe just disabled it no changes however the "dberr.txt" file is no longer being created makes me think the issue is gone but still no defender updates.
