MS already has hundreds, maybe thousands, of similar complaints on its own forum. If they cared to correct this problem, they'd have done it months ago.
The MS silence on this issue is precisely...
Yes, often. Sometimes I first delete them, then reinstall. Sometimes I just reinstall over them. Either way = no difference. Remember, same fonts work fine on 2 other desktops running Win 10 and two...
Korinna is a free font. Clearface is paid. Same problems with both sets of fonts.
Thank you, JB, but I'm totally against reinstalling Win 10. That also means reinstalling all my apps and preferences. Too bloody much work and too many frustrations.
FYI, today, in between...
Well, JB...I have tried and tried...but Libre Office doesn't seem to want to cooperate. I uninstalled old version. After restart, I downloaded a clean copy of the latest and greatest...LO...
Same problems that I have, and unfortunately this article didn't help me either.
I tried that routine on individual Korinna fonts and on Helvetica and Clearface families with no favorable...
Hi again...again a frustrated user. You sure do dig them up. That's a poster who also is dissatisfied with only a partial solution.
I wonder why no MS folks are responding to this thread or...
JB...U R being very kind.
I chkd your latest LO post. He/she still hasn't found success either. Like that poster, I found certain fonts will appear in OO, but not in LO, but then when you move...
Thank you for trying to help...but the Libre Office poster finally used Window Type Manager which worked for him/her but, as I stated above, not for me.
If you'll refer to pgh 2 in my orig posting above, you'll see that I already did that and MS said these fonts were -- indeed! -- installed.
JB...I wish it were so simple an excuse for MS, but it isn't. All are legally purchased from Corel, Adobe, Word Perfect, etc. And all worked on previous iterations of MS Win 10.
All of these fonts...
Thank you, JB, but that doesn't apply since I'm past the 10 day period. I'm still stymied.
Hi...
Just got a Dell Optiplex 7010 with Win 10 Pro 20H2, build 19042.928. Windows Font Manager seems to work fine and I installed several Helvetica and Korinna fonts, all of which showed up fine...
Thank you!
Berton, bro67, sbh7600...Thank you all for your assistance.
I tried all the above posted suggestions, but either I'm too dumb to accomplish them or my machines refuse to cooperate, so I was...
No...but following your post above, I did...and this was the result:
C:\Fiddle>for %f in (*.xls) do "c:\\Program Files\libreoffice\program\soffice.exe" --convert-to ods "%f"
Using without special...
Thank you. I tried. Didn't convert the files to ods. Did convert some (not even half) of the files to xlsx. Here's the result:

Berton, bro67, sbh7600...Thank you all for trying to get through my dense skull. My problem is...
This command is not working. I've tried it on 2 Win-10 computers via Elevated Command. Fiddle is...
Ooh...I'll bet you're right! I'll try it once more later when I get back to the desktop. Thanks!

Berton...
Well, I tried.
Discovered that on this computer, not on...
Great Idea!
To make it simple, just use the one directory. I'll copy files into it, then after they're converted I'll move them where they belong. Thanks a bunch.

Maybe it does make sense, but it does not work.
I moved the first 36 files into a directory I named Fiddle on c:\
Then navigated to that directory via Elevated Command and copied the code from...
Bro67...do you mean my instruction in Elevated Command should be exactly like this:
for%%f in(*.xls)do"c:Program Files\libreoffice\program\soffice.exe"--convert-to ods "%%f"
And can I do this...

Thanks for your help.
Here's what happened via Elevated Command:
