Sounds like you have add ons in firefox that are making the system think FF is actually running when it may not be.

Check task manager for any FF related entries and close them as a test and then...

Theres normally an option for the send/recieve frequency. Ive got the program on my pc set o every one minute.

Do you mean the websites homepage icon where it changes you bookmark icon to the same symbol?

Are you running just the one monitor?

If so, connect to the GPU you want to use, uninstall ALL GPU drivers and restart.

This should put the drivers to a default state.

System restore restores most files apart from files in the user folder.

Worth a shot buddy first off.

Worth running a system restore from the advance boot options pal.

If it was me bud, id reinstall again.I know its a pain but if its freshly installed, there something not gone right.

So just to clarify, this wasnt an upgrade? Was a fresh install from a DVD/USB?

So all data was wiped during and a brand new fresh Windows 10 install put on?
