The problem with the flexible spaces is they adjust their width based on the window width sometimes way too wide. This is not user controllable. Sometimes much too small.

A couple 'flexible' spaces are not enough. we need some fixed spaces and dividers.

nope, just did, well under a minute. bit longer than if it was a cold start, as i added in the shutdown time. (i've got shutdown set to autoend hung programs, and to use minimum wait times).
after the recent 16299 update my startup times went to 4 minutes, shutdowns were very slow as well. one of the first things i saw in this thread recommended turning off fast startup for my ssd system...
