Sorry to wake this thread, but is there something I need to change to get this to work with Win11 ?
Any link to a new version ?
Thanks @thomaseg1
Did a format and reload for the first time in a long time and then suddenly found this setting missing. Your link did the trick
We're almost at the end of 2020 and I can't believe after all this time (OP was in Jan2017) Microsoft still haven't found a solution ??? :banghead:
Why don't they just do away with one and use the...
Should be a new topic, but nonetheless, the setting you changed is not for those icons.
To get them all to show, go to Settings ... then Personalisation ... then Taskbar ... scroll down and click...
I think we still need a solution to move buttons from the same program independently
Brink : I don't think you completely understand what we want to do, as this actually used to work when W10 was...
^ You're asking the wrong person, unless you didn't mean to quote me?
Im just here for a 1-click solution to make sharing work like it should "out the box"
Sorry for the BUMP, but is there any success on a 1-click solution yet?

I wonder if MS even knows this happens when you remove apps like Edge ... then again, they'll just say you're not suppose...
That must be it then ... I also used install_win_tweak to remove Edge

Thanks
but unfortunately that also didn't help :what: Run script ... restarted ... Win-update re-downloaded the file and failed on the install ...

I'll probably have to opt...
Neither did the other 2 systems I have .... and all 3 are basically setup the same :axe:
Nope ... Like I said in my original post ... I tried every single fix that's available online including what you just posted .... it doesn't help ... I could understand if it was only me & that it...
I've tried that also .... no go ......

I have the exact same problems ... ever since that update was released a couple of weeks ago, it keeps failing to install ... and like you said, I've tried every possible fix for updates one can find...
Sad to hear you still having problems. Luckily mine was fixed with that build update.
I've reinstalled numerous times on a couple of my machines and all is good.
I found that while searching for a Win10 fix ... the article states :

? > Clean Up the WinSxS Folder
Thanks for the Fix
How did you come about that solution
In that case, I wonder if they accidentally fixed it?, the same way i think they accidentally messed it up, cause Im 100% convinced they don't have a clue what they did wrong back then :sarc:
Glad...
Did they mention somewhere that this specific problem was addressed ??
Where do you get this from??? source ??
Surely Redstone will have a new core/version, eg 1607 ?
