You can kill Defender via policy editor if you want to be sure its disabled and stays disabled. Open gpedit.smc, navigate to and Enable;
Computer Configuration/Administrative Templates/Windows...

First time using the 64bit as well and I am quite surprised. Definitely snappier, all my addons still work (don't use many tho) and even adobe flash seems to be working fine

How are you killing driver updates? Only one I have found that works is via local policy but you also have to disable windows update auto checking. Nothing can stop windows update from driver...

And of course the one that will remain is the one made for tablets and phones
