Try the program "Openwithadd"
It's what I use to add some programs to the right click open with context menu.
openwithadd
Open with - Add Program | Tutorials - Option Two

It's very strange that I just checked and the office icon has gone. It was there yesterday and I changed nothing in Edge.

Thanks, that does delete the registry key but unfortunately didn't fix Defender. I've installed a third party AV instead which is a shame because Defender has worked well for me for the last couple...
Yes that's what I meant.
I'm still running it but it doesn't disable defender.
That was my thinking but comparing those keys with Ghot's seems to suggest otherwise.
I got it after the last update. I use:
New Tab Start Page

Thanks so it's not where I need to look. No Rep available currently.
So I just reinstalled windows via MCT due to windows security "Unknown"

It's the same after reinstalling windows.
Could someone post what they have in this registry key?
Just an FYI. If you have a backup of your system from before the clean install drivers can be installed from that.
Upload the file to:
VirusTotal
If it comes back clean:
ClearDefenderHistory | Clear Windows Defender History Files
If it's clean and still a problem add an exclusion.
Probably not exactly what you are looking for but worth a try.
FYI: It's also discussed here:

I tried the solution in the last post but that didn't work.
You might try:
AHK Workspaces - Window Management Script by Maestrith - AutoHotkey Community
The modified script is the last post. Maybe also watch the video. I can't say if it will work.
Same here. Your script or garlin's script always worked for me in the past. I did notice an update to Defender during this week. That's only because I have a program running that notifies of any new...
You could try:
Download DSynchronize
Or if you just want to set up folder pairs and sync them:
SimplySync Backup
Also for copying files from one location to another when they don't...

No worries. That Nir Sofer has been around for years.
Okay what am I missing? I just see registrant name redacted for privacy.
I could use Spy-The-Spy to get a list and log them but don't bother these days.
EDIT: Forget that. It only logs downloaded files during an update.
There is nothing unusual about that. They provide 17 million plus domains and are likely based in Iceland due to privacy reasons.

Plus there are good reasons...
It's pointless. Temp files are no longer required. Any older then 24 hours can be deleted. There is no point in keeping older temp files.
No, I remove the extra crap.

Also note: Why are people still doing this to their PC? (Using Ccleaner)

SlegeHammer does that but I have not used it recently.

Download Sledgehammer - MajorGeeks
So again: Those files and folders are dummy ones created by Aura Antivirus to trap and detect ransomware.
Either remove Aura Antivirus or disable Windows Defender.
Just a moment...
Or else...
