Nothing worked so I did a reset. That seemed to do the trick. Unfortunately my emails were not on the roster of "my files" which I opted to keep so now I have to download them from my cloud backup....
It was for reimage. I have two cloud based backups so I'm not worried about backing up my c drive. I created a restore point manually. I also tried the fix through the registry and nothing changed....
