What I meant was as in the OP; open outlook in Admin mode, go to options/addins, com addins, select AdobePDFMaker, select remove, it looks removed, exit. ...
Thanks - I hadn't used this route yet - but had done the disable in addins window. But as noted, it would re-enable after each reboot.

On one of my W10 systems outlook fails when trying to load "Adobe PDFmaker Office COM addin". The program startup just silently fails.

Further research - seems that this is a common and known (and unrepaired) bug in the update, :-(
I did the Creators update to W10 today, but now the icons on the desktop are goofed up – they cannot be positioned near the edges, and if you try to move them there, they jump into the screen instead...
