It's true, it does require SMB1. I doubt writing WD will make any difference, WDTV Live is a legacy product, don't think they will invest any development time into it anymore. :(

You are correct, in my case the Advanced Settings in its entirety is greyed out since I did the anniversary upgrade. Sorry I didn't notice this thread was for a more specific issue.
