I second this, at the time I bought my controller the XboxONE controller wasn't wireless on pc, which is coming soon I believe.

It sounds like automatic dimming, hopefully it is that, and that you can follow the screenshots I've provided, let us know if this helps or not :)

I find that clicking actually on the shortcuts doesn't always work, but clicking to the right of each shortcut works all the time.

After changing your screensaver are you going into themes and saving theme?

Not in the new start menu style, but you can change the look and function to that like Windows 7, I used Star8 by Stardock in Windows 8 and it works in Windows 10, they are making a Start10

You do not have to change the menu, Ive just unpinned all the apps on the tiles then closed the empty space, nothing the program has done :)
