Yeah, I know. I was originally planning on getting a Crosshair VI Hero.
It also had enough usb ports on it for me.
Apparently both Asus & Gigabyte have changed that on the X470 boards.
Asrock (owned by Asus) and MSI have, too, but they have 1 or 2 each that has the 4 ports I need.
I've checked Asus, Asrock, Gigaybyte and MSI's websites and gone through each X470 board.
    Asus didn't list any yet.
Check on Saturday or Sunday night, but I read various articles about the3 or 4 non-itx X370 boards they're gonna release tomorrow.
I also went through each boards specs on Newegg and got my answer on onboard usb port counts and all the rear port counts.
Now I'm just waiting on the reviews for each one.
I have sometime to decide, as the cpu is first on my list.
The ram is third on the list, but I've known for over a year on what I'm getting.
    G_Skill FlareX DDR4 3200 2 kits for 32GBs.
The only question on the ram, is whether I'll still have to downclock it to 2933 or 2966 because of having 32GBs., like had to be done on the X370 boards.

Upgraded from an older AMD FX 8310 8 Core Processor, 8gb of ram, and Radeon R7 240 video card, to my first Intel based system in years, (last Intel system was circa 2003 lol) Intel I7 7700, 8gb of ram currently(upping to 16gb sometime), Nvidia GTX 1050, Western Digital SSD, 1tb Storage (upping to 2tb storage eventually, perhaps on my next clean install whenever the next big Update for Windows 10 rolls out)

Sure the Intels not 8 cores, but performance is great for all I do, still use the AMD FX off and on, might replace my Moms old AMD APU system with it at some point when 10 doesn't support hers anymore, or get her a newer one possibly.

I just rechecked Asus's website just now.
My options with their X470 boards are just 2 of them.
    1. Crosshair VII Hero Wifi - regular Crosshair VII is shy by 1 port
    2. Prime X470 Gaming-F
The rest are either itx boards or don't have the number of usb ports I need on the board.
Right now I'm gonna shoot for getting the Crosshair VII Hero X470 Wifi.
I got too used to Sonic Suite on my current mobo and use the specific equalizer settings it has for my 5.1 speakers.

Wait couple of days for me to get my 2700x and properly test it on x370. Also, some time today embargo on testing x470 and 2600 - 2700x will be lifted. A lot of them are testing them but couldn't release results.

Yeah, the reviews fir the boards and cpu's will roll out later today.
All the one's I'm interested to that are trustworthy I'm subscribed to on YouTube.
My 2 YouTube app's will be loaded with them starting probably this afternoon.
I'll probably do a direct look through YouTube late tonight, too.
When I go directly to YouTube I'll start my video downloads of the one's I trust and then watch them over the next month or so to decide.

Is there any hard data to confirm performance/framerate/frametime improvements with CFG turned off? Like before/after benchmarks?

I am asking because this has zero effect on my PC. I tried it in a few games already after seeing it proposed as a solution if other forums, and their benchmark and gameplay showed absolutely no improvement whatsoever. It might be that my PC is new/fast enough to deal with this without issues, or that it only works with other platforms.

I'm curious to see some results. I'd present mine, but again, it made no difference for me whatsoever. I think the specs should be visible below my profile. I don't use an antivirus, just Defender.

I'm sure I'll miss a few hear as I'm subscribed to all of them and over the years I've ruled out the b.s. ones to repeatedly legitimate good reliable reviews.
JayzTwoCents, Paul's Hardware, Guru3D, derBauer, Dragon Blogger and I'm most sure I'm missing 2-4.
