    sfc and dism ..... old issue returns


    Device : Surface Pro1
    OS : Win 10 Pro version 1709 OS Build 16299.19

    Old issue resurrected..........

    Ran Sfc /scannow......reports corrupt files found but unable to repair.
    Ran dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth ,,,,,,reports restore operation completed successfully.
    Ran sfc again....... reports corrupt files found but unable to repair.
    Ran dism again ...... reports restore operation completed successfully.

    sfc and dism ..... old issue returns-sfc-dism.jpg

    I am not going to worry about it.
    I am just reporting it to the forum in case someone is encountering the same.

    At one time I had had the same problem on one computer.
    As you have done I ignored it.
    If you have time some evening see if you can perform an in place upgrade repair (it should save files and applications) (run it overnight) and see if it fixes the underlying problem:

    Just to make sure the problem is not because of the "age" of my tablet, I did the same to my less than 1 year old Dell laptop.
    Results are the same.
