Windows 10 Only 1 Power Option

    Hi All,

I have just completed a re-install of Windows 10 64bit Pro, I wanted to have my Power Option (laptop) set to High Performance but I only have Balanced there? Any idea how I get the standard Windows options back?

I have tried going through the Power troubleshooter but it makes no difference?

    Thanks

Look on the right side of the page in power settings, select Additional Power settings.

    Hello TheLiger, :)

This would be because of the new Power Mode feature.

If you like, you could create custom power plans to set and name how you like as a workaround for this.

All sorted Brink, created a new option using the 'High Performance' as the base level. Hopefully thats sorted me.

    Thanks again.

The full extent of this change rather passed me by. Out of interest, has anybody ever got any significant performance improvement using high perrformance plan?

I'd say this is more for limiting resources to save battery power. "High Performance" will just have all resources available if needed.
