Disk Usage 100% Even After All Recommended Fixes

I updated from Windows 8 to Windows 10.

I tried every fixes I could find. I tried:
    - Disable windows search
    - Disable superfetch
    - Perform a disk check
    - Reset virtual memory
    - disable antivirus from time to time
    - I deleted skype and I don't use Chrome, but Firefox
    - I don't have StorAHCI.sys, but iaStorA.sys
    - Updated device drivers
    - Disable diagnostic tracking
    - Disable flash

And I still have 100% disk usage almost at all times.
I only had this laptop for 1 year and a half and payed nearly $800 for it.
It's been nothing but buggy experience for the longest time.

Please help and thank you in advance.

Hi, please post a screenshot of your task manager, organising any columns of interest high to low by clicking on the relevant column tab. Repeat for different columns if useful.
To post a screenshot please use the Insert Image icon above your post to the left of the video icon. Thanks.

    Then do a clean boot
Perform a Clean Boot in Windows 10 to Troubleshoot Software Conflicts
(part 1) and repeat the above.

Please also advise what sort of disk(s) you have.

    Please check your disk:
Download and install Hard Disk Sentinel (trial) and post a screenshot of its GUI.
If that's clear, then check your file system:

From an admin command or powershell prompt
[Windows key + X, click command prompt (admin)]
    chkdsk C: /F
Your PC will need to restart.
Post back the result, which you can get after a restart as follows:
Read Chkdsk Log in Event Viewer in Windows 10 Performance Maintenance Tutorials
    or

    or
How do I see the results of a CHKDSK that ran on boot? - Ask Leo!
Make sure the result is clear or fixed- else do not proceed.

Windows search should have no impact on disk usage in normal use. Once the index is built, there is almost no overhead at all. It is mythology (from XP) that it's worth disabling it.

Only if you saw its process using resources unduly would you then suspect it's having difficulty accessing your disk.

    Thanks

I understand your frustation this is what i can tell you from my experience
    with win 10:

if you do not need win 10 stay with 8.1, pc runs better with his original OS

if you really need win 10, go with win 10 pro and remove or at least turn off all the
store app you do not need.

check if your PC i being used do deliver update on the internet using your adsl: turn it off:

in my opinion windows 10 home is nothing more than the testbed used to test
new OS feature before releasing them to windows enterprise, your PC is the guinea pig,
hogged both in bandwidth and processing power to beta test the software.

Before suggesting fixes, we need information. There's no point trying random 'fixes' - that's pure guesswork.

I also have to disagree with your last comment. If that were generally true, no one would be using it.

    Hi dalchina,

the symptom the OP is describing is very well known to me and i feel confident to suggest
what *i think* is for the best interest of the OP that is what i honestly would suggest to a good friend.

I can't bear with win 10 home i'm sorry, this does not mean that someone else
cannot like it maybe also having fun testing new feature and apps; in the end the last
comment is what my experience is with win 10 home and i think it is quite accurate and honest.

I'm honestly trying to help the *poor man* i understand him and feel his pain.

A not satisfied win 10 home costumer

    all the best

I have WDC WD7500BPVS-22JC3T0 HDD. I wasn't sure if you wanted to know the drive or the type of the drive.
I'll perform the clean boot and follow up from there. Thank you.

I'm still struggling to believe the disk transfer rate can be that low and represent such a high %ge...

What's a SUPER CHARGER service? Oh, some MSI service...

On threads on this topic I read this suggestion:
" I resolved it by changing the power plan from 'Balanced' to 'High performance'. Instant results."

    Discussion:
100% disc usage at 10 MB/s... what is causing this? I'm not going to have to do a full reinstall again am I?... : techsupport

This was little bit after I clean boot my laptop.
I changed the power plan to high performance and it looks like it's at below 10% right now.
I hope it's fixed, but I'll follow up again once it starts to cause problem once more.
    Thank you very much!

I'm not happy about that power plan idea - assuming your laptop wasn't doing this at some point in the recent past, I feel there's another problem lurking there.. have a look at the other links.

Doing a clean boot isn't a fix, it's just to see what happens with less running.
