    Temporary Files in Disk Cleanup

    Hi all.

I have had 175mb of Temporary Files in Disk Cleanup for what seems like a few months now which will not seem to go following the routine disk cleanup action.

I waited until the next major CU came and went which happened last night but it still says 175mb of Temporary Files in Disk Cleanup

Just wondering how I can rid myself of these?

    Many thanks

You could try running the cleaner as elevated administrator. Maybe some of your file permissions are screwy.

Thanks I'll try that. Is it just right click and run as Administrator?

I've pretty much given up on trying to rely on the numbers reported by Disk Cleanup.

It might analyze a drive and say there are 40 mb to be cleaned up. You OK that and then re-run it. It then says the same 40 mb can be cleaned up.

Or---you run it and your C partition then shows 60 GB occupied. You don't run it again and 3 days later, C is shown as having 56 occupied.

    Etc. Etc.
