So it seems that you resolved it by swapping ram slots and resetting Cmos with the combination of a HDD scan sweet now still when you buy the memory make sure it is the same exact stick or you will be back to square one keep us posted on changes thanks

New as well on here.... And I'd just like to throw out my 2 cents...

Some pointed to the RAM maxing out, that was the first thing that caught my eye.

16 Gb is nice to have nowadays, but it becomes even more important if you only have a traditional spinning HDD in your system. This is because once your RAM fills up, Windows starts to offload memory onto your Page File, if that Page File is on a HDD instead of a SSD, things will slow considerably.

Temps on the motherboard may also be worth checking as I've seen studdering in games caused from the VRMs overheating on the MoBo. (<-- this x100 if overclocking) I use HWinfo64 portable to monitor those, its the only one I've had luck with for reading VRM temps.

I would suggest using the second 8Gb stick, and consider buying a SSD for boot/games. Then use your 1Tb for storage.

    Good luck!
