Event Viewer Starts in Custom Views

For some reason Event Viewer now starts on my laptop showing Custom Views (see below). How do I fix it so Event Viewer starts showing the top level item in the menu Event Viewer (Local)?

After a clean install mine starts at the top in Event Viewer Local.

I tend to use event viewer - custom views - administrative events because thats there most of the pertinent information is. But if I close it it goes back to the top level.

Hi Steve, here is a short video I made last year to show Brink something, I had noticed.
I hope it helps you understand, that Event viewer "remembers" after it has been closed in the same view a few times, unless you use Ccleaner and have MS Management Console checked, which then resets all MMC views.

I removed that setting in CCleaner and Event Viewer now opens at the top level as it should by default. Thanks for that tip!
