    Constant Windows 10 hangs

Here's a chronic and apparently unsolvable problem with Windows 10.

Short desciption: ever since moving the boot partition to a Crucial MX200 SSD, the PC has been crash and hang prone.

    Windows 10 Version: 10.0.15063 Build 15063

    32 Bit Windows, PC has a AMD FX6300 and a gigabyte GA-78LMT-USB3 6.0 motherboard.

Here's what has been tried with no effect:

    SFC/ SCANNOW

    CHKDDSK/F

    Clean boot.

    Turning write caching off.

    Changing BIOS to AHCI.

When Windows hangs, system will not respond to attempts to start task manager.

Windows hangs are usually accompanied with a spinning blue circle.

    Sometimes Firefox hangs.

When Chrome hangs, it is accompenied with "waiting for cache."

    Hi khl.

In Cortana type Reliability History. Click on app. What kind of issues is it reporting if any?

Not that I want you to upgrade your BIOS I'm asking have you checked your manufacture to see if updated BIOS's are available.

Have you reseated cables and tried a different port?

Have you check with Crucial to see if new firmware is available for your SSD. Again not saying to install, just want to know if they have identified issues and if so what firmware fixes.

Have you run any kind of memory tests like memtest86?

    MemTest86+ - Test RAM

    Are you applying any overclocks?

Would be interested if Windows is reporting on error.

Among the errors were Shell Experience Host, svchostexe_appreadiness and Wallpaper Studio. That was a hint of what might have been wrong. After some experimenting, I fired up Revo Uninstaller and got rid of several older programs that might have interfered with file saving and updates. Somewhere, I must have eliminated the problem, because Windows 10 has been acting correctly with no hangs for the time being.
