    This was a known issue in Win7/8 and it was due to the OS getting prepared to be upgraded to 10. It should work once 10 is installed.

    Ended up doing another clean install (for other reasons) and I'm still having this problem.

    I should note that all DISM functions turn up clean results.

    Attached my CBS.log in case anyone might be able to help me out:

Now when I try ' sfc /scannow ', all I get is "Windows Resource Protection could not start the repair service." It use to work.

Every time I run SFC ScanNow and it fixes something, upon reboot all I get is a black screen and cursor. I am forced to restore system with MR.
sfc /scannow says this.

Some of the damaged files couldn't be repaired: 50641 And, CBS.log says some errors similar to this one: 2015-11-26 16:02:04, Info CSI 00000442 Error - Overlap: Duplicate ownership for directory "\??\C:\WINDOWS\bcastdvr"...
