Disk Cleanup showing 2.9GB Temporary Internet Files

Disk Cleanup is showing 2.92GB temporary Internet files that I cannot even find.

When I click on View files I am taken here:

One 0KB file and a folder. The folder contents are:

I am having a hard time understanding why 281KB of files found is showing in Disk Cleanup as 2.92GB. Can someone help me understand what is happening here?

From the time stamp on the files and folder, they appear corresponds to today's CumUpdate. Did you enable 'show hidden files' in View ?

It's probably Edge and it's temporary files are in a different location ...
    \AppData\Local\Packages\Microsoft.MicrosoftEdge_8wekyb3d8bbwe\AC

You can use WizTree, to make tracking down folder usage a bit easier.
Antibody Software - WizTree finds the files and folders using the most disk space on your hard drive

Note: I use the portable version (Portable Zip) under the Click Here To Download button. Your choice of course :)

Checked that folder and it contains 35.3MB of files. Looked at C:\ with TreeSize program and cannot locate these "file". I am not even sure they exists.

Tried this program it did not clear these files. In fact the size is now up to 2.95GB in Disk Cleanup.

Restored Macrium image from few days ago and problem is still there. Not as "bad" it now only shows 2.38GB in Disk Cleanup. I suspect something is up with Disk Cleanup.

Checked Feedback Hub and three other users have this issue. Upvoted. Now there are four.
