Verify integrity and speed of usb flash drives

    Good day All!
I've noticed an 'older' 32GB USB 2.0 Flash Drive writing rather slowly and considered simply replacing it. I'm interested in a way to verify the integrity and speed of USB flash drives.
I see various free programs available online, but am wary of, er ... the unknown.
Can someone recommend a safe and useful method of checking old and new flash drives?

My thanks go out to all who read this post and to those who reply! :)

I put your thread title in Google and got this: http://usbflashspeed.com/
I checked the link. It's ok no pup's. I d/l and tried it and it seems to be fairly thorough. I have no idea how accurate it is yet.
    YMMV

You can test the speed using NirSoft's USBDeview and if you want to, can automatically add your test results (link explains how to test using USBDeview and how to publish) to the growing database at NirSoft's USB Flash Drive Speed Tests. There is a ton of data there to compare drive speeds, and a good chance that you'll find a few other instances of your exact same drive tested by other users. You can filter by drive size (1GB, 2GB, 4GB, 8GB, etc.) and sort the existing tables by columns, and a Summary page lists a summary of speed tests for USB drives that have accumulated 5 speed tests or more.

I have tested a few drives there, and also tried testing my same drive numerous times to compare results across tests (which yielded very consistent results).

You can of course run a full CHKDSK scan on the USB drive - follow above posts for speed tests.
