See if you can create a brand new bootable windows 10 1703 iso from: https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10
This will need to done with a flash drive that you can format.
This iso will likely be useful in the future for any corruption in this or any other PC.
Each computer manufacturer has a F key to boot to a device. Find out the F key for your computer so if you need to you can boot using the iso. For custom computers you will need to change the boot order.
For now you will not boot to the iso but boot to windows on the computer.
Power on your computer (not booting with the iso but with the computers windows operating system (torrent iso).
Then open file explorer and find the iso on the usb.
Look for setup.exe
Use the setup.exe to perform an in place upgrade or in place upgrade repair.
See this link for text and images: Repair Install Windows 10 with an In-place Upgrade
there is a temporary files of windows installation in the diskcleanup should i delete them ? and i have my flash with my build 16188 like mine and i have another build 16215 iso and i don't want to format and i dont want to lose nothing
As long as you can boot to windows and find the USB iso file you should be good for the in place upgrade repair.
my windows 10 is in e: and there is temporary files of the installation in g: partition and there is windowsold.wim and ithink i have error 0x8007025D
Error 0x8007025D - 0x2000C
Occurs if the specified buffer contains ill-formed data.
To fix the issue, re-download Windows 10 ISO image and install it again.
So far many web links have performed clean installs.
The logs can be viewed to find more information or perform a clean install.
For troubleshooting before generating the logs:
1) run the control panel windows update troubleshooter
2) open administrative command prompt and reset the windows update components with these commands.
(copy and paste all at the same time)
Net stop bits
Net stop wuauserv
Net stop appidsvc
Net stop cryptsvc
Del %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\qmgr*.dat /Q
Del "%HOMEDRIVE%\Users\All Users\Microsoft\Network\Downloader\qmgr*.dat" /Q
Del %WINDIR%\SoftwareDistribution\*.* /s /Q
Net start bits
Net start wuauserv
Net start appidsvc
Net start cryptsvc
Then perform windows updates.
If they work then attempt the in place upgrade with the iso.
If windows updates does not work then open administrative power shell and type or copy and paste this command: Get-WindowsUpdateLog
It will take approximately 5 minutes and produce a text file on the desktop. Use onedrive to create a share link and post in the thread.
Rerun sfc /scannow and dism /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
Then find the CBS and the DISM log files and create share links for each.
And in administrative command prompt or administrative power shell type or copy and paste this panther command:
C:\$Windows.~BT\Sources\Panther
It will generate a Panther folder with hidden files. You may need to use file explorer hide or unhide menu to view them.
Find these files and post a share link for each:
setuperr.log
setupact.log
The log viewing is a lot of work.
If you have files backed up the most efficient and effective method is the windows 10 clean install.

Maybe another member of the forum may have used windowsold.wim. This is the information that I was able to find: How to Restore Your Files From the Windows.old Folder After Upgrading
For in place upgrade or in place repair:
1) Power on
2) open files explorer > this pc
3) click on the USB drive with the windows 10 iso
4) click on the setup file
5) it will display preparing with %
6) for updates > not right now
7) accept license
8) it will display making sure you have enough space
9) ready to install > keep files
10) click install
If you post the logs I could check to see what may be interfering with the upgrade repair.
Some have used Macrium to back up and restore a drive.
Another method that sometimes may work is a registry repair.
The clean install with diskpart clean or deleting partitions and making an unallocated drive is another option if the above fail.
i can't enter to windows 10 and you telling me to do an upgrade from windows 10 and i do that before and i watched the tutorial ad can you answer my questions ? and i don't have windows.old folder
