Event ID 10005 error (Windows 10)

Hi guys, recently found an event id 10005 error in the event viewer. Is has something to do with CSR Bluetooth service. I have already tried uninstall/ reinstall the CSR Bluetooth stack but the error is still there. Kindly advise how to resolve this error, thanks.

Could be a corrupt DCOM database. Have you tried : Right click Start icon > select Run > Type dcomcnfg and click ok . That will bring up Component Services. On the left hand pane drill down Component Services> Computers > My Computer > DCOM Config. Highlight DCOM Config and it will bring up a list of all the DCOM objects on your computer. Besides fetching the DCOM's it also detects any missing registrations. If any are missing it will ask you if you want to register that with DCOM, click yes. It might do this several times, just keep clicking yes until it doesn't ask anymore. After it finishes you'll be able to see all the registered DCOM components on your machine. Close dcomcnfg and reboot. This doesn't fix all DCOM issues but it does get most. Hope this helps!

Hi Indianacarnie, I tried what you suggested but the error still won't go away.

Have you installed Windows Search on the computer? Is it set to automatic start? if it isn't DCOM will throw these DCOM 10005 errors. Although the errors might be annoying they are benign. If Windows Search was installed by error and if you don't use it you should uninstall it.

Hi Robertosburn, I have 'windows search' service disabled all along. It was only after the Creators upgrade that this error appeared. I have temporary uninstalled the CSR Bluetooth stack & revert to using windows 10 default Bluetooth feature, so far no more error occur, thanks guys...
