No. It will introduce a new problem. 15063.0 is OK, but as soon as a cumulative update is installed DISM RestoreHealth will fail, saying 'cannot find source files'. This is a error in DISM, there are no actual errors that need to be corrected. This has apparently already been reported on the Feedback Hub - we await a fix from Microsoft.

Creators update component store shows corruption but unable to repair
Bit confused about dism procedure.....the one brink showed in a tutorial refers to $wimdows, is this my installed Windows ? I downloaded a new 10 ISO and have the .esd file, can I use that ? And if so how ?

Going to try the clean boot method, may show the issue...

Couldn't see an easy solution to getting the services started...so,restored an image I created on the 11th April....this is now the anniversary edition as I updated to the creator edition free the 11th.....it started ok, but still has the shutdown issue, so I did a clean boot......as per tenforum guide, now it boots normally, but I found many MS startup services disabled.....can't remember how this happened, wonder if that's why my pc has been shutting down......could a Trojan rootkit or virus mess around with my startup items.....?

so will monitor and see if shutdown issue has gone. ...
    thanks 4 now

Definitely malware can mess with anything and everything. Not sure what they would be achieving disabling random services. Killing AV services is understandable.

When you get a shutdown is there anything in the event logs?

Right click Start, left click Event Viewer.

When it opens, second one down, left side, Windows logs. Expand. There are several, I would check system first, then application.

I had a quick look through, saw a reference to tweaking.com which I installed ages ago and also kidswatch...parental control software...these are now uninstalled. I have run every rootkit and av program I can find, superantispyware found a few, chose to remove all......deleted the contents of a folder windows/.....updates, can't remember the exact name...
since restarting has been stable for 2 hours, but seems like a time bomb waiting to go off....also uninstalled completey avast AV in. Are it had been compromised.....will reinstall now.

Need to reset the logs, then check straight after an event.....can this be done easily

Luckily my problem is now resolved.....I tried DISM, but apparently that is currently not working....
then tried every antivirus and rootkit killer I could find, allowed them to disinfect and delete everything found......now the shutdown issue has gone, will never know what it was.......
    thanks everyone
